We are fortunate in Oregon to have Oregon Bioscience, supporting the regional bioscience community.

On Tuesday, June 18, members of Oregon Bioscience Association gathered at 2Hawk winery in Medford, Oregon for the first Southern Oregon meetup event. Sponsored by Biomed Diagnostics, the event brought together colleagues of Pharmaceutical, Bio-manufacturing, Healthcare, and more to discuss the industry’s regional economic impact, issues, challenges and more. 

The Oregon bioscience community:

• $10.7 billion in output, including $3.4 billion in income, and 47,238 jobs
• Average annual wages totaling $1.4 billion statewide
• NIH and federal dollar awards surpassing $363.4 million
• $401.9 million in tax and fee revenues for state and local jurisdictions
• $789.6 million in tax and fee revenues for the federal government
