JOB TITLE: ERP Software Engineer/IT

DEPARTMENT: Admin

REPORTS TO: CEO

POSITION TYPE: Salary (exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week 8am-5pm.

 POSITION PURPOSE: You will be responsible for the design maintenance and implementation of our open source ERP (Odoo) for different internal and external projects related to our business activities. You will be the technical contact with our ERP contractor and responsible to manage all the interoperability of the ERP. You will also manage our internal IT, including servers, internet services and employee access.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Software validation of Odoo and monitoring its compliance (re-validation as needed)
  • Contribute to the development of Odoo by working with external provider and implement internal new modules as needed
  • Manage the software, internet and servers
  • Set-up new users and assign email and server access
  • Advise, coach, train the user and develop procedures
  • All other duties as assigned.

Position Description

JOB TITLE: Accounting Assistant 

DEPARTMENT: Administration

REPORTS TO: Bookkeeper

POSITION TYPE: Hourly (non-exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. The expectation of this position is to be present during business hours 8am-5pm.

POSITION PURPOSE:  As an Accounting Assistant, you will compile and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing financial and administrative support to ensure effective and accurate financial operations. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for the Accounting email box
  • Initiates checks for expenditures
  • Records fixed asset transactions in accordance with Supervisor’s direction
  • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and accounts payable files
  • Monitor all vendor and customer accounts to ensure balances are accurate
  • Timely and professional responsiveness to vendor and customer inquiries

  • Reconciles credit card statements
  • Assists in month-end-closing

  • Contacts customers by mail, telephone, fax or e-mail to resolve billing errors, payment questions, account status and to collect delinquent account. Documents all customer contacts made and results of contact.
  • Sorts and files correspondence, both manually and electronically.

Production

Position Description

JOB TITLE: Level 1 Production/Assembly Worker

DEPARTMENT: Production

REPORTS TO: Production Manager (Lead on daily functions)

POSITION TYPE: Hourly (non-exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. Hours in production fluctuate with demand. 10-hour days and additional overtime may be required.

POSITION PURPOSE: As a Level 1 Production/Assembly Worker, you will safely and efficiently operate a variety of processing and packing equipment involved in the production of all Biomed Diagnostics products.

 REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:  

  • Remove finished products from machine and separate rejected items
  • Regulate machine flow, speed and temperature
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to lead
  • Stock, sort, and secure product for packaging
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
  • Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments to machinery and equipment
  • Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or anomalies
  • Clean packaging containers, workstations, and floors daily and as needed with the use of chemicals such as bleach
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Description

JOB TITLE: Research and Development Scientist

DEPARTMENT: Research and Development

Reports To: Director of Research and Development

POSITION TYPE: Salary (exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. The expectation of this position is to be present during business hours.

POSITION PURPOSE: As a Research Scientist at Biomed Diagnostics Inc., you will be a key contributor to the design, development, validation and quality control efforts involved in both new implementation and current production of in vitro medical device reagents (microbiology culture media) and IVD assays. You will manage specific laboratory and research action items (e.g., including but not limited to, controlled laboratory-based experimental study design and analysis) within R&D projects and report to the Director of R&D.  

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicate with other departments regarding design and investigation projects, quality, resources and regulatory issues
  • Keep current on issues regarding IVD & Medical Device design controls, microbiology, infections disease, quantity control, and risk management
  • Knowledge of industry-specific standards i.e. ISO 13485, FDA-QSR etc
  • Recording and analyzing data, presenting results to senior/other research staff, writing research papers/posters, business grants (SBIR/STTR), reports, reviews and summaries, demonstrating procedures, preparing funding applications/bids

Position Description

JOB TITLE: Director of R&D

DEPARTMENT: R&D

REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Business Management

POSITION TYPE: Salary (exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. The expectation of this position is to be present during business hours.

POSITION PURPOSE: Lead the development-to-commercialization and performance of directed research in new product introduction for molecular assays, immunoassays, and microbiological selective growth media.

 REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead and supervise associate scientists in their daily operations and research in diverse biological areas
  • Develop and validate a menu of diagnostic molecular assays, immunoassays, and microbiological selective growth media for regulatory submissions
  • Design and perform research experiments to develop assays using DOE principles in conformance with design control regulations
  • Perform assay optimization, troubleshooting, and transfer of technology to manufacturing and QC
  • Develop QC tests for in-process, final assay reagents, and finished device
  • Facilitate verification and validation studies for the developed assays
  • Work with procurement to contact commercial vendors for sourcing and supplying of specific assay reagents and samples
  • Establish and manage external collaborations with academic and industrial scientists to validate established performance criteria critical to market success

POSITION PURPOSE: A Scientific Sales Representative conducts sales out in the field via: E mail, online presentations and face to face interactions with both potential and existing customers. They will manage a set of existing customer accounts in a service capacity to grow, develop, ensure product understanding and forecast sales expectations.  They are responsible for offering the best possible customer service experience as well as providing presentations of any new or updated products when necessary. The Scientific Sales Rep is responsible for seeking out new business opportunities and following up on assigned leads.

 REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Account management within the veterinarian class of customers as primary focus
  • Conducting phone calls, e mails and video conference meetings with potential leads
