JOB TITLE: Bookkeeper
DEPARTMENT: Administration

REPORTS TO: CEO

POSITION TYPE: Salary (exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. The expectation of this position is to be present during business hours. Weekend work may be required to complete timely month end close.

POSITION PURPOSE: This position is primarily responsible for directing financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations including balance sheet, profit loss, cash flow and month end close completion according to the policy of the company.
  • Reconciling and managing bank accounts
  • Maintains the fixed asset inventory listing and calculates depreciation as needed.
  • Assist in preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
  • Assist in preparation for proper audit documentation.
  • Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts payable process, assuring that all documentation and accounting procedures are in compliance with company policy and GAAP Standards.
  • Maintaining general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Maintaining and auditing internal controls on all accounting related processes, overseeing the implantation of, and adherence to all accounting procedures, organize and collaborate with all departments.

Production

Position Description

JOB TITLE: Level 1 Production/Assembly Worker

DEPARTMENT: Production

REPORTS TO: Production Manager (Lead on daily functions)

POSITION TYPE: Hourly (non-exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. Hours in production fluctuate with demand. 10-hour days and additional overtime may be required.

POSITION PURPOSE: As a Level 1 Production/Assembly Worker, you will safely and efficiently operate a variety of processing and packing equipment involved in the production of all Biomed Diagnostics products.

 REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:  

  • Remove finished products from machine and separate rejected items
  • Regulate machine flow, speed and temperature
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to lead
  • Stock, sort, and secure product for packaging
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
  • Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments to machinery and equipment
  • Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or anomalies
  • Clean packaging containers, workstations, and floors daily and as needed with the use of chemicals such as bleach
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Description

JOB TITLE: QA Assistant

DEPARTMENT: QMS

REPORTS TO: QA Lead

POSITION TYPE: Hourly (non-exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. The expectation of this position is to be present during business hours 8am-5pm.

 POSITION PURPOSE: This position is responsible for assisting the QMS department in ensuring compliance to our ISO 13485 certified Quality Management System and applicable FDA, EU, USDA and International regulations.  Key elements of the system that this position will work in and maintain are Internal Audits, Document Control, Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), Supplier Management, Control of Infrastructure, Training, and assistance with Management Reviews. Prepare ISO certifications and audits.

 REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Maintenance of Biomed Quality Assurance processes by direct integration with purchasing, manufacturing, packaging & fulfillment personnel and processes;
  • Maintain CAPA Program: identify and manage CAPA’s, perform root cause analysis on issues, coordinate with other departments to come up with containment actions and solutions to issues;
  • Maintain and document systems improvement through CAPA system reporting;

Position Description

JOB TITLE: Research and Development Scientist

DEPARTMENT: Research and Development

Reports To: Director of Research and Development

POSITION TYPE: Salary (exempt) Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. The expectation of this position is to be present during business hours.

POSITION PURPOSE: As a Research Scientist at Biomed Diagnostics Inc., you will be a key contributor to the design, development, validation and quality control efforts involved in both new implementation and current production of in vitro medical device reagents (microbiology culture media) and IVD assays. You will manage specific laboratory and research action items (e.g., including but not limited to, controlled laboratory-based experimental study design and analysis) within R&D projects and report to the Director of R&D.  

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicate with other departments regarding design and investigation projects, quality, resources and regulatory issues
  • Keep current on issues regarding IVD & Medical Device design controls, microbiology, infections disease, quantity control, and risk management
  • Knowledge of industry-specific standards i.e. ISO 13485, FDA-QSR etc
  • Recording and analyzing data, presenting results to senior/other research staff, writing research papers/posters, business grants (SBIR/STTR), reports, reviews and summaries, demonstrating procedures, preparing funding applications/bids

POSITION PURPOSE: Lead the development-to-commercialization and performance of directed research in new product introduction for molecular assays, immunoassays, and microbiological selective growth media.

 REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead and supervise associate scientists in their daily operations and research in diverse biological areas
  • Develop and validate a menu of diagnostic molecular assays, immunoassays, and microbiological selective growth media for regulatory submissions
  • Design and perform research experiments to develop assays using DOE principles in conformance with design control regulations
  • Perform assay optimization, troubleshooting, and transfer of technology to manufacturing and QC
  • Develop QC tests for in-process, final assay reagents, and finished device
  • Facilitate verification and validation studies for the developed assays
  • Work with procurement to contact commercial vendors for sourcing and supplying of specific assay reagents and samples
  • Establish and manage external collaborations with academic and industrial scientists to validate established performance criteria critical to market success

 POSITION PURPOSE: A CSR is responsible for a combination of customer service and administrative related tasks. Handles customer concerns specifically related to their experience with the products.  Possesses the ability to communicate to customers effectively.  Should have a pleasant and positive attitude when dealing with customers/ employees. The CSR will assist upper management with projects and research when necessary.

 REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
