Chromogenic differentiated results, in your clinic.

COLOREX™ Listeria and COLOREX ID Listeria, traditionally used in tandem, isolate and chromogenically differentiate colonies confirming the presence of Listeria monocytogenes with prepared plated culture media. When used together, COLOREX Listeria provides initial differentiation and presumptive identification, while COLOREX ID Listeria provides confirmation of suspect L. monocytogenes colonies re-plated from COLOREX Listeria. Together they make preliminary detection and confirmation easy by producing distinct chromogenic differences with typical identifying characteristics, both macro and microscopically, within as little as 18-24 hours. Both devices inhibit the growth of mold, fungi, and other bacteria including E. coli and E. faecalis

Specifications

Product Principle
  • Combine collection, culture, result and microscopic observation in one device.
  • Highly selective prepared media in a device designed for in-vitro specimen transport and incubation.
  • Rapid presumptive-positive diagnosis without re-plating.  Intray can be placed directly on microscope stage
  • Fully enclosed cassette with Tyvek® air filtration prevents contamination and exposure, post-collection.
Simple Convenience
  • The InTray is designed for specimen collection/ inoculation at point-of-care
  • Saves time, material cost and waste, reducing exposure to collected sample
  • Place directly on the microscope tray for observation through the cassette’s clear anti-fog window
  • Visual chromogenic differentiation
Accurate Detection
Test Strain ATCC # Appearance

E. coli 25922 Inhibited
Time to Result
  • 18-24 hours, incubate at 37ºC.
  • If negative, incubate another 24 hours
Storage
  • Extended 6 months shelf life (2-8°C) from the date of manufacture
  • Can tolerate extended periods at controlled room temp (≤ 25˚C), with no loss in performance.
Specimen
  • Stool sample
  • Envrionmental sample
