InTray® COLOREX™ O157 - Prepared Plated Culture Media

COLOREX O157 is designed for simultaneous growth, observation and chromogenic differentiation of E. coli O157 from clinical or food specimens. This device makes preliminary detection easy by producing distinctive color differences between the growth ofE. coli O157 as well as other organisms within as little as 18-24 hours – all while inhibiting the growth of mold, fungi, and other bacteria.

Time to Result

Incubate 18-24 hours at 37ºC.

Storage

Extended 12 month shelf life (2-8°C) from the date of manufacture
Can tolerate extended periods at controlled room temp (≤ 25˚C), with no loss in performance.

Not for human diagnostic use.

A latex confirmation test for O157 is suggested for suspect colonies. Definite identification requires, in addition to characterization of O157 serotype, a final identification as E. coli.
